Notice how wonderfully relaxed your muscles feel as you have a therapeutic massage. Because it’s holistic, you will feel your whole body benefit. In fact, holistic massage is so wonderful that you will notice all round improvements to your body, mind and spirit.

Holistic massage is a special form of massage that balances the physical, emotional and energetic aspects of your individuality. It will leave you with an enhanced sense of well being, peace and tranquility. It relieves muscle tiredness and tightness, and promotes relaxation.

Holistic massage uses techniques drawn from Swedish massage, and is very effective in helping to ease muscle pain and stiffness resulting from such things as sports activities and over-enthusiastic DIY and gardening. By combining deep tissue and other remedial massage strokes, alongside trigger point therapy, I can help to reduce tightness and improve flexibility and mobility.

When you first come to see me I will take a full case history in confidence. Then together we will discuss and agree a plan of treatment that is adapted to your individual needs, physical characteristics and personality. We’ll review this plan at each visit, adjusting it if necessary: holistic massage does not follow a set routine - it works with you rather than on you.

Holistic massage helps you by:

• providing physical improvements (relaxing tight muscles; improving circulation, nerve function, and joint mobility)
• reducing stress by working on the calming (parasympathetic) nervous system
• calming your emotions by soothing your busy mind and slowing down your thoughts to find the gaps where peace lies.  

To enhance your experience I use high quality, heavyweight 100% Egyptian cotton towels, and I use only the highest quality massage oils (sweet almond or grape seed).
